A few weeks ago we discussed the Los Angeles Time Sunshine Project (See our entry here.) A service called DocumentCloud is similar and features public records used to support the journalism of The New York Times, Pro Publica and a number of other outlets. A nice and potentially very valuable feature available in DocumentCloud is the ability to search across the entire collection of documents by the text within the document and by a series of pre-defined metadata fields (e.g., title, source, description, etc.)
var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-15744425-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();
